About Ivy Flynn:

Ivy Flynn brings nearly three decades of experience supporting children and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. She has been an Independently Licensed Social Worker, with Supervisory Distinction, since 2015. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 1996. She began her Social Work career at Lighthouse Youth Services as a parent educator for Parents As Teachers, and was also a Service Coordinator at Lighthouse through Ohio Help Me Grow, working with children with medical and developmental diagnoses. Ivy started her career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in 2007 as a Medical Social Worker and worked in the ENT/Aerodigestive Program/ Cochlear Implant Program for 16 years, and then worked in the Rheumatology Service for 3 years. Ivy joined Anderson Hills Pediatrics in partnership with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in January 2026.

Ivy believes that each child’s experience is unique and is impacted by family and cultural dynamics, trauma experiences, developmental stages, and social determinants of health. Her work with pediatric patients involves a commitment to safety, collaboration, evidence-based approaches, and empowerment. She strives to create a therapeutic relationship where children feel seen, heard, and valued, and where families and caregivers are supported in fostering resilience and healing. She utilizes an integrative approach to behavioral therapy, influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Ivy was born and raised in Northern Kentucky and moved to the Cincinnati area with her husband in 1994. She is the mother of a young adult son, who is now working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Physical Therapy. Ivy and her husband are enjoying their time as empty nesters in Adams County, along with their 2 dogs and 5 cats. In her spare time, Ivy enjoys many outdoor activities, especially hiking, camping, kayaking, soccer and flag football. She is a faithful Bengals and Liverpool soccer fan.
